The start of Jean Jacket Creations

The inspiration for painting custom Jean jackets was based on scrolling through reels on Facebook. My daughter stopped me and pointed out this Jean jacket that had a unicorn painted on its back. Emily begged me to make one for her. This time with a “kitty-corn” and her name. I used a Jean jacket we already had. I washed, dried, then ironed the jacket prior to painting. I learned a lot from this first jacket. I learned there was a specific mixture of paint to medium to make sure the adhesion to jacket was perfect. This mixture would also prevent cracking of paint. For this first jacket it turned out better than expected but I used what I had learned to apply to the next jackets made.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

Sharing this fun project with our neighbors and family was such a joy. With the help of family and friends, I learned how properly build a piece built to last the test of time.

Let the posts come to you.
