Sacrifices of our military & their families

Remembering our military heroes and their sacrifice to help keep our nation safe. As a Military spouse I have seen how military life can affect everyone in a military family. It's not easy for either our heroes or their families. The hardest things is the separation. Both my husband and I have experienced the guilt of him missing all of those firsts with our two kids while he was either deployed or during our time of Geo-Baching (geographically bachelor). Close to 5 years we had a long journey of separation due to medical reasoning in order to receive the care both I and our kids desperately needed. During this time, he missed all so many of those firsts. I know much he wanted to be there for every second of them growing to be who they are today. We have been lucky enough to have had the last 2 years with him while on shore duty. We are currently working so hard to share as many firsts and fun family experiences as we can while he is still here. Nothing will bring back those years apart but we do everything we can to make the time together worth it. I urge other Military families to do the same. It truly keeps things interesting and the kids look forward to the spur of the moment adventures. Even the spur of the moment day trips to a small town nearby has made for core memories. With military life things are always uncertain. Scheduling, Deployments, and even permanent change of duty station can always flip on a dime. We have seen plenty of these instances where things were rescheduled multiple times due to these uncertainties. As a military family we sacrifice a lot of time with our loved ones.  Take the time you can while you can. Please remember the ones deployed and the ones holding down the home front while their loved ones are out serving our country keeping us safe.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

Sharing this fun project with our neighbors and family was such a joy. With the help of family and friends, I learned how properly build a piece built to last the test of time.

Let the posts come to you.
